Hiking the last km

There were pears, apples grapes and other berries
beside the trail

Sun all day long

at lunch time we finished the Maitland trail

we had lunch looking at this mansion

Then for the afternoon we hiked 12+ km on the rail-trail

It was easy hiking but almost 20km in total is a lot of hiking

The rail-trail can be done by bike too
although there was one tree that we had to climb over

Fall at it's best

Lots of wood laying around

Filled with mushrooms

These green sprigs are ready to come out in the spring

what they are looking at is not a rock

but a large puff ball, they are edible but not yummy

love the water and the colours

Maitland trail 3rd day

The trail is often close to the river

Sometimes through a farm field

a lot of up and down

this time with beautiful coloured trees

the trail leads through little streams
with slippery rocks

under the highway

and for a little while along a road

Start Coffee-Break & Story-Hour

Our speaker the first morning was Glynis Belec

She spoke about "staying a Float"
with her PFD or in her analogy Jesus

Glynis is a writer and is just starting out as a speaker
I love it when people share their own story
thanks Glynis!
