Big temperature Shift

 

when the warm weather came in we had hail

it was warm

hail

and dark skies

the power went of, just as I was reading this book

I walked to the pond

still lots of ice

and snow on the downhill path

next day went from +13C to -9C

with lots of wind

back to winter

prepare for coffee on the porch

 

we've had lots of sunshine

and nice temperatures, up to 13C

so we're thinking of sitting here

but this is where the pillows currently are

waiting for even warmer days

Vaccinate Sheep

 

It's so nice to have this spot for 

easy catching sheep

we've had so much sun in February

and we enjoy it, the snow is disapearing fast 

yesterday we had a 3 hour power outage

but we knew it so Rien parked the car outside

A taste of Spring

 

Early morning

checking on the 2 lambs born yesterday

such a nice day, we went for a walk

I even took off my coat

just a walk through Listowel

Chores

 

sweeping the porch is a chore

that counts towards watching a tv show

so without being asked they got to work

Straw

 

collecting straw from the floor

playing between the big bales

Jumping and Running Lambs

 

the lambs are so cute

the kids said they'd like to see them

but they actually wanted to play in the straw

when Marc fed the sheep

the lambs started jumping

and running

super cute

Winter Puzzles

 

did some more puzzles

usually while I listen to podcasts or bible teachings

this one was 2000 pieces, but fun to do

Eagles eat roadkill

We drove by this scene first after swimming

we think the deer was roadkill

Close to the road

came back later with a better camera

first time we came by an Eagle was eating the deer

looked very possesive of it

now they were not as hungry so waiting until I left

 

Lambs

 

yesterday we had 2 lambs ewes

when I went to look all sheep were laying down

I don't feed them the stuff they like, so they stay down

I think this sheep has personality

love it's hair-do

this one born this morning

very cute

but a ram

also born this morning

don't know what it is yet

Garden Promise

 

there's still snow

but also an early flower

the garden is preparing

for Spring

we've had sunshine last week

Rien and I walked to the pond

the tiles are running

a grate will be added 

sun and fog

sp the trees are pretty

another sun up

and after warmer days (up to 12C)

the open water is getting larger
