More Rain

It was actually a very nice day
just to be forgotten by the ending
thunder and lightning stopped the soccer game after 15 minutes

we had coffee in Moorefield and heard the pounding rain
driving home we saw lighter skies above Palmerston

John Henry Klaassen took this picture in Moorefield

a Rainy Sunday

Rain for the whole day, so the church picnic was indoors
we didn't stay for the picnic because we had a neighbourhood picnic

our neighbours had rented a tent for the weekend

and had home made donuts

they also have free range pigs

apparently they stay around the yard

Bruce trail 6th line Nassagawye to south of Acton

Most of the day we were in the bush

we had a snack on top of the ridge and heard gravel trucks rumbling by

first we thought we heard a huge waterfall
but it was a stone crusher

The plant were all dusted

we met this guy on a bike!
Don't think you are allowed biking on the Bruce Trail

pretty mushrooms

and lots of mosquitoes, I have the bites to prove it
trying not to itch

hedge trim

It is June, so time to trim the hedge

it doesn't take that long but you just got to do it

only a few corn plants are little
they were frozen a while ago

Barn Skeleton

Cut the bottom with the chain saw
(a pail of water is in the neighbourhood)

a few swings with the hammer to loosen the planks

but not to powerful a swing, this barn is not so sturdy

loosen the plank

Flip to the inside

not every plank stays in one piece

get the nails out, stack on the Skid Steer

slowly the skeleton becomes more visible

Around the Farm

Adam is playing in the pasture

It's nicely organised in piles and the topsoil comes over all

Rien is trying to figure out how to get the long barnboards off

Canadian nails are stubborn, twisted, they last long

It only goes slightly better from the inside

The floor is bad, we have some holes covered

This one has a bale over top

Today is our anniversary and the beauty bush is flowering again
