Mizzy Lake

 

Mizzy Lake is no easy hike

lots of rocks and roots

but bogs too, hope to see Moose

it was raining softly

might as well hike

no Moose

only a goose with goslings 

First Cut

 

Cut and tedded on Saturday

put in the bunk yesterday

covered and done

from the rest we hope to make hay

Mew Lake day 1

we left nicely in time

set up at Mew lake 56 a nice big spot

we went for a bike ride

stopped at the portage

had a campfire

 

Sydenham Forest East

 this was last week

never seen this much Trillium

it was such a treat

we skipped this in the winter

there are to many crevices 

that's dangerous in the snow

but quite nice now

we really enjoyed this short hike

only one time a wider view

but very fun to hike

Massie Forest

 

first 4.5 km road

then on to Massie Forest

in the meadow lots of apple trees

some wetland

and a big hill

a camp spot on top, these places are rare

walking at the edge of the forest

some wet places

some covered rocks

deciduous trees 

pines

cool rock

trees make good places to sit

Racoon

 

the racoons like to live here

they look cute

but we wish they lived somewhere else

Corn

 

the corn was planted Saturday the 14th

so glad everything was in

it was very dry

but clouds appeared

and we got a beautiful rain

ideal for emerging
