Grapes

 

The grapes are sweet

I picked them

took them off the stems

washed them

Then sqeezed them 

making wine

Farm show

 

we went to the farmshow

spent lots of time in the Dairy section

had a good lunch

saw some interesting things

shade for cows

inside of a Bale Baron

same familiar faces

the corn for the 'sandbox" had not been cleaned

check out the crops

and some future AI innovations

It was a good show

4th Cut

 

Marc starts cutting 

while Trevor puts manure on the restored gravel pit

It looks so green

we're dreaming of making hay in September

Oats

 

we grew Oats in the restored gravel pit

decided to combine it as feed for the sheep

It wasn't very dry

but after a few days of sun spread out in the bunk

it looks pretty good

Eating together again

 

We had a pancake / egg / bacon breakfast

At Timmers campsite

we went to Erieau for a fish meal

It was a nice time 

At the one end they had all these biblical plates

we tried to figure out what the stories were

all Old Testament

Playing Games

 

we played a game called Molkky

throwing a stick

trying to hit wooden posts

It's a fun game

and we played cornhole toss

we also played cards a few times

Some went biking others hiking on the marsh trail

Mission Madagascar

 

Our church supports this missionary couple 

First they were in India, now they are retired, and went to Madagascar, working full time , lots of prison ministry , glad we are able to support them

After s'mores 

we had a glowstick "party"

fun to play with

On Friday Sarah brought a paddle board

we all took turns

it was fun

even the kids did it

I think you outgrow our pond pretty fast

but it's a good place for first timers
