Art

Angie's Exhibit "pieced together" Art and heritage in 3 photo quilts
They are beautiful!

This one had pictures of people in a patern, Guests of the show were all trying to find themselves. Here Gwen and Eric are looking.

There they are! and Marc too.
The holes look like stitches but are pin holes with light shining through.

I would like to study it for a few more hours, these pictures don't do it Justice

Rememberance day

At Marc's school there was an assembly. The grade 7 and 8 sang and did all the speaking. The singing was done really well. They were good to understand and it was a beautiful song: "do unto others....."
To bad there weren't many parents.
At the end the kids put their poppy on the wall.

Marc wore a poppy that he got last year. In May we came back from the Netherlands and veterans joined us. Some talked very enthusiastic with Marc but this guy (Charles Smith) said "never become a soldier, son"

slipping and sliding

Can you believe it? I forgot my camera. We went curling with about 40 women who'd rarely or (most) had never been curling before. Most fell while trying to push this curling stone to the other side of the rink. We had great fun. We'd seen those people on TV sweep in front of the stone so we did too if it needed it or not.
