Fall Colours

The trees are getting brighter every day

Everywhere the sun brings out the colour

Some fields are ripe to harvest
others are still to wet

I love this picture

Sweet Corn at Reapers

6 men where taking the ends off

but they could hardly keep up, this was Herman's job

there was a lot of help to shell corn
from our church; Jean, Joanne, Freia, Ann

2 boys brought unshelled corn around

Tracy and I hauled full baskets away

this lady took over for me hauling full baskets

Pieter cleaned up

the corn was washed

2 girls stuffed the corn through a schredder

that went very fast

up to the dryer

Corn 25% dry Matter

Corn stalks loaded up

Going to Bridge to find out how wet the corn is

The corn goes through the chopper

catching the pieces

Then measure with the moisture tester

try a couple of times and average the score

Ours looks pretty wet

This was our best score 75% moisture was average
