Graduation
Inspirational thoughts
There were 2 places for taking pictures
Refreshments were served outside
I'm so thankful not to be 13 or 14 anymore
It was so awkward, the boys on one side the girls on the other
It just brought me back to when I was a teenager
Glad I'm older now

Teamwork for Graduation
While one team decorated inside
and made the gym look beautiful
with areas to take Grad pictures
and a stage decorated with plants and light
another team started outside
It was not supposed to be a "wilderness area"
after edging and cleaning up
we put on mulch
to cover up
and it actually looked good

Why we love Algonquin Park
Early morning when the water is calm
Reflections of trees...
...and rocks
living trees
and dead trees
and a nice campsite where you can dive in the water

Algonquin Park Wildlife
We saw Turtles
and empty egg shells
a Moose cow & calf
and a Buck
We did see beavers but they were to fast to get on a picture
So we show their handiwork
There was lots of beaver lodges and occasional dams
The loons make such beautiful sounds
Here they were whipping up water taking off
and a Blue Herron overhead
Blackflies & Mosquitoes
The first 2 days the bugs were overwhelmingly present
The portages were the worst, lots of mosquitoes
And they would have liked to join us in the tent
the black flies did
Rien tried a bit of fishing
Out first spot was beautiful
but the swarms of bugs were a distraction for sure
So we went on the next day

Algonquin Interior
Before we got to the Interior Access point
we saw our first Moose
When we loaded the canoe, others were packing up
they warned us that they'd run out of bug repellant
We set out under cloudy skies
Algonquin is beautiful
But we sure needed our bug jackets

Robins
We like Robins a lot more
when they are not eating our strawberries
