All stop signs have a layer of ice

 

Most of the ice fell off when we drove to the stock-yard

 



 

We met lots of buggies, made we wonder if the ice affects them

 

 

 



Ice-Storm Damaged Trees

 

 

Single Trees are almost the saddest

 

 

This little tree just made me laugh,

 although it may have made the Kupers cry

 

 

Not all trees fell in the right direction

 

 

Some areas are disastrous

 

 

Looks like a tornado went through

 

 

Willow are hit hard, but they grow easy

 

 

There will be a lot to clean up, come Spring

 

 



The Beauty in the ice-storm

 

Most of the trees are still coated with a layer od ice

 

 

When the sun came out it was stunning

 

 

Rien and I went for a ride around the block

 

 

Later I will do a post with tree damage

 

 

This time, just wanted to show the beauty

We had 3 people playing trumpet, but that picture didn't turn out

 

 



 

 

 



Prepare for the Milk Truck

 

 

Marc put on some sand

 

 

Cutting branches that are to low, due to the ice

 

 

no problems the milk truck leaves again

 

 

a few days ago the milk trucker said 5x thanks for sanding our lane

 



Clearing mixed up Wires

 

Electricity is off and not coming back soon

 

 

We were afraid the poles would snap

 

 

So the wires were freed of tree braches leaning on them

 

 

After this branch was cut the wires looked kind of normal

 

 

 

except they are sagging a bit

 

 

next the branches leaning on the insulated wire got chopped

 

 

Marc made sure not to hit the wash line
