Day of Discovery Future

 

Our group was one of the first to be done

 

 

So I took time to see the hall from up high

 

 

Some groups were still in debate about what to write down

 

 

Others were filling their Poster Boards

 

 

As you see there was a real good mix of ages

 

 

When you were done you hung your Poster on the wall

 

 

Everyone got 3 stars

 

 

After all the Boards were hung and read

 

 

We could put our stars in places on the boards

 

 

Apparently using God given gifts

in the right places got lots of stars 

 

 

 

It was a good day

Day of Discovery

First we talked about past church activities that had an impact on us

 

This was my little group

 

 

one person from every group shared

often youth programs and small groups came up

but also Bethel and Cathegism

 

Then we shared sentiments about the programs we currently enjoy

 

 

Those "one word" sentiments we put on the wall

 

 

In groups that kind of belong together

 

 

Every group was only allowed to share 3 words

Just before lunch we thought about how circles of

love God

Love Each Other and

Love neighbours

 

intertwined in our church community

we went out with 1/2 of our Coffee-Break leaders

 

 

It was so much fun

 

 

as an extra we went to Webster's Falls

 

 

It was not to cold, just -1C

 

 

The partly Frozen Falls were beautiful

 

 

We found Spring at Tara Greenhouses

I need to take my good camera along every day

this time the owl was way to far for my little camera to get a good shot

No oil out of wood

The wood pile is done

The last logs are in the fire

The oil part is not working

So we got the campfire wood

And then it did get fixed so we didn't need this snowy load

Grandpa on the mend

Cor looks good in regular clothes

He does get quite a few visitors

Do all roads lead to God?

In the Christian view there is only one way

All other religions have in common that you can "save yourself" In Christianity there is only one way, to repent and accept Jesus Christ as saviour and Lord. You cannot save yourself

We can all coexist but we should not blend in

Eternal Destinations

I went to a seminartoday

It is called Eternal Destinations

It has 2 parts, Heaven and Hell

We started with hell today

Most people know John 3:16

For God so loved the world....

Few people know John 3:18

He who believes in God's son is not judged guilty, he who does not believe has already been judged guilty, because he has not believed in God's only son

but there is water in the creek

 

 

 

and the broken branches of the maples leak sap

it's just so cold it still freezes
