Bruce Trail, North of Cypres Lake

 

At the start some thought they needed warm clothes

(they didn't)

 

 

This section is classified as "difficult"

 

 

Part of the difficulty is that you cannot get off

 

 

Met these 2 from St-Catherines, they were finishing the trail

all the way from Niagara to Tobermory in 31 days 

not consecutive though

Vegetable Garden

The Potatoes and corn look good

Peppers do well

and the tomatoes too except for Cherrie size

Almost time to eat Red Cabbage

There are pods in the broad beans 

We already ate lots of lettuce and 2x beans

The onions are having a tough year

We can hardly find them between the weeds

Around The Tractor Pull

 

It was not only Green tractors pulling

 

 

Blue and Red also participated

 

 

 

Bleachers on both side of the track 

 

 

The strangest award was for the newest tractor

why would that be worth a price?

 



Palmerston tractor Pull

 

 A week ago the Listowel Tractor pull was postponed

not happy with the result,

the one who is first can choose to pull again

Marc pulled 2x and was 10th out of 14, not bad at all

 

The sky was beautiful, quickly getting darker

 

 

adding weight for the class that Trevor pulls in

 

 Trevor also pulled first in his class and also chose to pull again

 

 

Only his second pull was less then his first

so we were done for the evening



Volunteer at Camp

went to Camp with Gerrie

we worked hard

there were 2 extra volunteers

parents of a kitchen staff

It was special Needs Week

I recognized some of the guests from other years

Most of the staff love Special Needs week

but it is very tiring

This guest asked me to take her picture

she is very nice

and water melon

we usually have the last week 

so I've never before wrote the new menu

I did Tuesday & Thursday

Anti Slip in the Camper

Bought some stuff that keeps carpets in place

cut it for size in the camper cupboards

things should not break as easy this way

In Hope Bay there is a gift shop

 

 

Called the Frog so the no parking sign makes sense

we ended the day with wading into the ice cold water

 

 

 

apparently Hope Bay is called by the locals Numb-Bay

due to the very cold water when the west wind blows

 

 

Short shorts was a good choice
