Sky over Drayton

Some weather system came over 

lots of dust flying, 

this was just a mini dust cloud

The pictures I took from the car are all shaky 

but we stopped for gas and then the camera could focus

Growing Temperatures

It always amazes me

how plants can grow

from just a tiny seed

It's all emerging now

such a nice time of the year

Pasture Pictures

This picture I took a while ago to show Olga the layout of the pasture

this is the dry cow pasture up until the door to the milk cows

On the right is the "training" pasture for dry and close up heifers

closer to the creek the extended pasture for the same group

The milk cow pasture is in front of the house

hard to see with the trees in leaf

the cows love it, and so do we

Bulb Flowers

Because it started out cool

the flowers lasted a long time already

The Oreaole tries out the new hummingbird feeder

I see a drop on his beak so it must be working

It's a big machine to drive on the road

It's such big equipment

and there are a few Hydro poles in the field

Pasture

The grass on the hill has a lot of yellow flowers

this evening the cows are outside for the first time during the night

Cows don't like hot weather

so even though they could have gone out in the day they all came in

they got what they wanted, out during the night

First Campfire of the Season

The gate is just beside the Royal Botanical Garden

this was where we saw so many birds on the board walk
