when life is tough, it's a good idea to go biking

with the family we discussed the notice

we met lots of times at Huib and Anita's place

this became the front

Waterhof

On Sunday evening my dad passed away

with my sister I got to help dress him 

for the last time

then they wrapped him up to leave

the people working formed an honour guard at the door

at midnight

the hearse left with the one man walking in front

my dad was here only 5 weeks

but it was a place where people cared, a good place

Sunday

at church a cross was hung on the wall

I think there were about 22 already for this church year

our hosts

after church get together

on Saturday we went 2x already to see my dad

he wasn't doing well

now we went again in the afternoon

they have good coffee at the Waterhof, my dad's place

and we spent time with these 2 Arjo and Monique

this is their future home, the pointy one

spent time together

ate Indonesian / Chinese food  

just enjoyed spending time together

and meet the newest family member

Remembering Moeder Jos

 

we gathered in this church, de Domkerk

to remember Jos Noordam

with friends and family

candles are lit

eulogy by Nel and Margreet

and the grandkids

time for pallbearers to come forward 

on the shoulders

the pallbearers walk outside to the hearse 

walk through town

the workers from the retirement home where she lived

are outside, forming an honour guard

the plan is to carry on the shoulders

so we practice although 4 are missing

the first group will carry out of the church

these 6 are very different in hight

this makes dividing the load challenging

the next group, I'm filling in for Sanne

much closer in height, this went well

they will carry at the cemetery 

Moving ma Noordam to the church

 

Ma Noordam was at the home of Nel and Wim

here we are moving her out

we stepped on a few plants

but it went smooth

ready to go to church

we all got on a bike and went there too
