Moose

 

we went to look for Moose one evening

and there it was, on the move

in the water

and out

closer to us but more obscure

not afraid of people

You can hear the blackflies

Algonquin fun

 

we went for icecream

the kids on bikes

the day of rain

still nice

we went to the visitor centre

only bear we saw

next day was so nice

we enjoyed the sunshine

the kids love boardwalks

we did a bit of biking

Hiking in Algonquin

 

The beaver pond trail was quite wet

we looked at the trailbooks and read a bit

it was quite cold, so when this dry sunny boardwalk came up

we took advantage and layed down

beautiful and warm

Spring colours are great

and as you see, it's not busy, 

we are in the camper in the far back

Canoeing

 

Joanna was the first to ask for a canoe ride

we were camping onthe north part of the river

it led to the Lake of two Rivers

It's a big lake

but you can then go to the madawaska

and that's fun canoeing

all done

Family arrives in Algonquin

 

they love reading

we went to the logging museum

it's a fun place

it was raining lightly

You can go inside logging buildings

we went for a bike ride

a collection of pinecones can get out of hand soon

we were surrounded by pine trees
