Reading and Chores

Chores were fun

Sheep pens extended

we have now 2 bigger sheep pens in the coverall

we can use the alleys now

first we moved them into the alley

then one by one they got a CIDR

for out of season breeding

 

Summer Days

 

summer weather

time spent at the pond, is time well spent

Bunk Silo

the walls are poured

colourfull boards

almost done

 

Crop tour

 

the corn is growing high

soon we'll see tassels

3rd cut is growing

lots of moisture

the wheat is still standing

it looks good

tall enough

we've seen the first fields combined in our area

the soyabeans 

nice and dark

in the forecast it's warm and high humidity

good for some crops, not so good for others

Demolition Derby

 

Marc is in the demolition derby again

same car as last year

first round he did very well

and the car still drives

half time show with 3 guys jumping 

and landing on an inflated huge pillow

consolation round

that didn't go as well, only reverse still worked

car gets picked up with prongs, it's done

Garden

 

we've had enough rain to make lots of flowers bloom

before going on our vacation hikes

we weeded the garden (again)

it was nessasary 

coming back we could see, 

there'd been lots of rain and wind

hike 4 peninsula last one

 

some real easy parts

some a little steep

we love hiking

with friends

and unexpectedly down

to the beach

time to get our feet wet

Annette is hiding, end of the trail
