A highlight was the flamingo exhibit

the girls loved it

they sound like geese

 

It was a bit of a rainy day

but the animals didn't mind

Big Rhinos

Cheetah

Baboon

Lions

cattle with the biggest horns

Grizzly Bear, didn't look that ferocious

nice artwork

the polar bear looked mighty scary

the Cougar too

Arctic Wolves

Eagle

Gorilla

Done! It was agood day

By the pond

Some visitors came

trying to stop the reeds from invading the beach

It was cool but some kids were still swimming 

And playing with sand

Out of the wind you could use shade

make your own pizza

close to the fire

 

Camp at the pond

The plan is to camp at the pond 

But the weather was not cooperating 

We did have a campfire 

And the kids had fun

 

 

Coming down

moving on to the bigger saw

first run the line up in the tree

make the wedge

time to come down

this is sad, we liked this tree

it went as planned

there's evidence the tree was tapped

that's interesting to see this low

previous owners of this farm may have 

put soil higher around this tree

that would kill it

 

Our tree goes down piece by piece

Isaac is in the tree

he keeps looking at it to see how and where to cut

the tree has a split and the back section comes down first

piece by piece

He wrappes the long branches before cutting

so the fall close to the tree

Sealer

Yesterday I bought sealer in Kitchener

Today I cleaned the cement 

And put the sealer on

Glad it’s done

Went to swimming lessons 

All 3 are close together

They love it

I took them home and they were here for the day

A beautiful evening to celebrate 

65 years

Lots of people came out 

Still 22C at midnight 

And rain overnight, an extra blessing
