Hoof Care

The hooves from all the cows were trimmed today

2x a year we get the hoof trimmer

Some people don't like to have their picture taken

The kids were making OCC shoe boxes

Junior Church

I'm trying to make some pictures for the new directory

these are not going to make it, but they are still kind of fun

Edge of City church

On one side of the church is the city of Hamilton

on the edge of the parking lot is a ravine

Unfortunately we spend the day inside in a cool gym
while the sun was shining outside

November

It starts to look like November
no snow, no leaves

Fragrance of Fall

Everywhere there is manure being trucked

and spread

morning 'till night

Marc visited with Trevor up and down the road
It was to dark to make a clear picture

Good Help

a cow was calving, normally we hope for a heifer calf
after a call to the veterinarian we hope for a life bull
Bulls are usually bigger so when you need a vet it's often a bull

When you have livestock, sometimes you have dead stock

We are so fortunate to have veterinarians that come quickly
they are excellent at their job
When a calving is tough it's easy to loose a calf and the cow

The cow is just fine, she was eating during delivery
we are blessed, getting help when we need it.

Fall

Fall seems about the right name for this season

The cows are outside, it is cool but sunny

Colour in leaf & Feather

This bush in our flower garden is beautiful

These orchid like flowers need a long summer to mature

Rien spotted a cardinal but it was hard to get in focus

Our friends have well placed bird feeders
much easier to make a picture
Blue Jays are such colourful birds
