A pair of Cardinals

 

The Cardinals come to the feeder regularly

 

The male is much more red

 

But the Female has some beautiful colouring too

 

Love the feathers on her head

Miserable Weather

 

The wind is blowing

Visibility is an issue

 

 

The shoes in the garage are getting white

 

Still lots of snow by the back door

 

and blown on the windows

The Cows on the new Mattresses

Cows are creatures of habit

this one is still on the older matts because this is "her spot"

 

But over all the cows seem happy

 

It is still cold

 

and the only flowers outside are on the windows

SHIP Gluttony

The church is decorated for Lent

just one problem today, the projector stopped working
so we're using the computer and a portable projector on a wall
with an angle surface



So Angie is moving text on the flat angle
a few hours work



Gluttony is not only about food but:
the soul's addiction to excess

in one word: MORE

The opposite is to be content like Paul in Philippians 4

New Mattresses for the Cows

 

 

The New Mattresses come in 3 layers

 

The middle layer is very soft

 

Rolling out the heavy top layer

 

Roll it over on the top

people were spread out evenly

but those in the middle had the hardest pull

 

Other side, clipping on vice grips

 

Nice when there are enough people to pull

Straighten out the waves

Taking out the old cow Mattresses

 

A big day today, we were surprised they showed up with this cold

 

Every time the door opens there is instant Fog

 

Cutting up the old mattress in pieces

and grinding off the old base boards

Remove the top layer, then the rubber filled tubes

 

 

Looking through a cleaned patch (removed ice) 

 

 

So the Skid Steer can come in again without having the door open to long

 

Even mid-day still -20C

what a cold day!

Indoor Walking

 

It doesn't really look like outside hiking is a good idea

 

So these days we are putting on our hiking shoes

 

and hike in Elmira on the indoor track

 

5 x around is 1 km

 

Coby walked 16 and Marg and I went 14x around 1/2 hour

it's good exercise and not on cement but on rubber
