Spring Thaw - Soft Snow

The snow around the parking lots are browning

 

The rivers are starting to flow

 

There is actual Grass to be seen

 

and it is easy to get stuck in the soft snow

 

Skit-steers do not have tires with good profile

 

hard to drive a straight line

We have started the last stack of wood in our basement

For the first time we were above 0 (0.3C) yesterday after Jan 18

the forecast is for sun and much warmer weather

we are excited!

Sewing some Baby Crib Bedding

Cut the corners 7 inch square

 

Sow a seem, turn it inside out and sow another seem

at the same corner

I looked at a YouTube video for guidance on that one

 

Iron a seem all the way around,

folded it again and iron again

 

Pull elastic, until you like the corners

stich in place

 

I also made 4 Flannel blankets

 

and oiled the sewing machine

Time to do the other side, this project is dragging on

The icicles were dripping for a few hours

 

The snow starts to look dirty

There are still lots of piles

 

Not as clean anymore

 

They will use these hopefully soon again

 

For now the trails are still in  good shape

 

the roads did get a little cleaner

Demolition Car

 

Marc hopes to enter in the demolition derby this year

 

He got a car from one of our neighbours on the Teviotdale road

 

close up it doesn't look to good anymore

 

Trevor is bringing it to the highschool

so Marc can work at it during Auto-Shop class

Gwen made cards and did scrapbooking

 

a sample of her 30 cards

 

Kelsey had some beautiful colourful material from Africa

she found a way to use it

 

Linsey made baby blankets and other baby stuff

this material was fighting her, so she had to pin it

 

 

The stack on the left is from Gladys

both Gladys and Kelsey made a rag quilt

 

 

 

Annette did cards ( also birthday invitations)

Anita made cards

 

Karina, mostly cards (and tags) and digital scrap booking

Karissa did CD covers and didn't make it on my pictures

 

Angie made some cards and crochet a blanket for grandpa

and she took 2 pictures of me
