We took the long way out of church

The water at the dam is still low

A Deer hiding in the conservation area

and a B&W animal on the side of the road

Barn Tour Perth County

 

6 barns, 2 robot barns and 4 tie-stall

These people had a cat that could go up but couldn't come down by itself

so they made a cat-walk

 

all the calves liked to lay under the boards, maybe less drafty?

 

We saw Jeff and his dad in 5 of the 6 barns

 

There were even different breeds (another farmer had 1 Ayrshire)

 

a Juno was going around that we think could have gone to our place

some cows like to spread the feed around

right after the feed pusher went

The Truck needed a wash

The snow is melting, there is water in the creek

There is still a way to go

But I saw my first Robin 

and I walked to the town line

 Things are looking up

No Northern Lights

 

Hoping to see Aurora Borealis, I went outside 6x

 

While I was there I took some star pictures

the big dipper is on the right

 

I woke up past 1AM and saw that in 3 minutes it would be

STORM LEVEL

So I put on my winter gear on and went outside for maybe 1/2 hour

There is a bit of a green tint



 

and a shooting star

 

but nothing like this picture taken the night before in Lucknow

 

Maple Trees are running

 

The neighbours have their buckets up

 

Big mature trees

 

There is a layer of syrup in the bucket

 

The snow castle is sinking

 

so is the snow in the drainage ditch

 

I am looking for a Robin, haven't seen them yet

Stubborn Snow

Sunday a week ago

last Sunday

I had hoped it would be more of a difference

Yesterday it promised to be a melting kind of day

Today we have fresh powder

this is disappointing

On Thursday I walked around the farm

 

It was not above 0C but very pleasant

Our contractor put up a sign on the more traveled road

The guys were working with the door open

Rien is happy with the new gates and feed fronts

Snacks Kentucky Bound

 

We saw these packages ready to go to Kentucky

 

 

My rotating doesn't work

But things like this are so fun.

Our church is a family and when some of us go away we support them

in all kind of ways
