We always come past this place

It's usually very busy, but this is the first time we stopped there

very short menu, very efficient place

railroad cars for storage and for washroom facilities 

and because of the bridge it serves both sides of the highway

It's not easy to have a thriving busyness in this part of the country

I'm impressed with this one

Canoeing Tea Lake

we went canoeing on tea lake and amazingly there were no bug there

not even on the land

we even went for a swim

the net only works for mosquitoos

not for black flies

dry firewood bought at Mew Lake

OFF out best friend

some times of the day were okay

went to the river

butterfly

pretty wild flowers

playing with the water

hiking

the blueberries are not ready yet

love the views

Looking for wildlife in Algonquin

we know where to look

and the time of day

still not easy to see anything

except that I saw a Cougar at 5.10AM but didn't take a picture

was to busy avoiding getting to close to it

saw fog

and a beaver or a muskrat

not sure what bird this is

sun coming up, pretty

in the evening the bugs scared us off

so we went for a ride

success

not the most beautiful, but we love spotting them

Rien is good at finding them

much more variety in south west Ontario

Fireworks

starting with little stuff

flying some Chinese lanterns

amazing how much fireworks there was

all bolted into place

and it was all wired to go off at the click of a button

the louder and bigger stuff on the wagon

quite a show for not that many people

we loved it

fun to watch

almost 1/2 hour

nature had it's own light show

lots of fireflies

First of July

a 4th of July party on the first of July

on a farm so we check on the crops

looking good!

they do this every year

first a crop tour

down the road

visit the neigbours

Knee High

every year we try to take a first of July picture in the corn

this is Iowa

we stopped at one of the best fields we saw

Marc took one at home

The corn is actually quite nice

iowa is just famous for good corn
