enjoying the hike

now we didn't have to look at placing our feet

We started with quite a few big rocks

many mushrooms

Lori was hiking by herself, she was planning on 28 km

she hiked with us for a while

we saw puff balls, you can actually eat those

view of Georgian Bay

we love hiking

Before Lori moved on she took this picture of us

Frost

protected strawberries and peppers

the roof was a bit white

low lying areas too

not a killer frost yet

Make wine from our own grapes

The grapes seemed ready

2 green boxes

lots of work, take all stems out and wash

drink a glass of wine 

so you know why you are doing this

squeezing the juice goes best with your fingers

Mulching Brush

Look behind the first tractor, there's an area with weeds and brush

this used to be cropped, but gradually the non cropped area grew

now it's all gone and the ground looks quite smooth

ready for tiling

does a good job clearing the accumulated brush

Fall Colours

Fall is such a colourful season

Bike to Port Elgin

we had a very nice bike ride into Port Elgin

on the way to Timmies

On the way back we took the trails and hit some very wet spots

It had rained the night before, but not this much

while we took a group picture, Luke had his video running

apparently us lining up is very funny

and a campfire, we had a good time

 A sunset is better with clouds

and trees

the water is high, our kids used to go out

to the trees there walking on the rocks
