Hockley Valley

Last Saturday we hiked at Hockley Valley

with 11

hopefully all going to Israel in October

we got to know each other a bit

very nice group

it was a lot of up and down 

95 floors up and down

taken by a passerby 

there's quite a bit of water in the area

we took a bridge

Rien went over a fallen tree

Spring flowers were just starting

this week it will be full bloom

Cows on pasture

it's that time of year

on Thursday the door was opend

and the cows could get out

they jumped for joy

and started grazing

more jumping

turn around

so fun!

 

First crop

 

the first crop was harvested over the last few weeks

we see a big change in how many there are

definitely less then when we started cropping here

Finish well

Things we like about Holland 

coffee with my mom and dad

being able to visit Rien's mom

just walking and meeting family

Dutch home baking (stroopwafel taart)

I ate the outside stroopwafel already 

herring

sathee and fricandel speciaal

7 AM my mom and dad wave us goodbye

at the airport, dropped off by Rien's sister Nel

it was super busy, but we made it in time to the gate

there we had to wait for 9 people who didn't make it in time

it's good to be home

De Lier Maasland

 

most of our family lives near de Lier

this church is the face of de Lier

lots of tulips around

we walked at the cemetery, nice and quiet 

De Lier is busy and full with buildings

Maasland is open area, water and bike paths

without zoom

a bit of a zoom

all the way

our little camera can do quite a bit

scouting

these signs are so helpful when you are biking

you go from number to number
