Thanksgiving hike

Taking a right turn after parking

We were going uphill 

Better colours here than at home

Up on Murphy’s pinnacle 

A nice lookout 

Boyne Valley 

We met lots of other people 

I asked them how they knew about this spot

They told me it was because of TikTok 

Apparently that App has a lot of influence 

It’s a nice spot but a bit of a drive

Back to the parking lot

 

First frost

Cover the tomatoes 

Was a smart move

Everything was white 

 

Syrup tank

Marc bought a tank at a sale

Had to break down the milk house wall to take it home

It fitted in the trailer 

Another piece for our future maple syrup venture 

 

MacGregor

on Saturday we went to MacGregor

we had a bag tournament

We went for a bike ride

we had a potluck

we parked at Annette's site

we finished with a campfire

almost a full moon

 

Play with the grandkids

Outside after supper 

One is still finishing her supper 

We played on the trampoline 

It was fun

We also played Mario cart, but no picture

Needed both hands on the controller 

 

Innislake road to Mountain view road

To finish this section for Marleen, Olga and Angela dropped us off

at Innislake road

we went past the temple on Airport road

we crossed the road and started the new section

this used to be a road section

after we just sat on rocks for a break

we came here to picnic tables

and a fabulous view

the trees are starting to colour

we walked through some fields

past some Halloween decorations

a bit early for that

after a final road piece

we were happy to see the car

 

Willoughby road to Mountainview road

a new part off road

a big improvement

great place for a break

after 3 blocks of road, back in the field

milkweed is pretty

some more escarpment side road

ending at a free book place

the owner had great books

 

Sheep and a big smile

but in her mom's arms
