Making Centre Pieces

 

The 3 of us made some centre Pieces

 

Gwen bought all the material

 

and we could experiment

 

They told me the Freesia's smelled nice

 

It will look good on the tables tomorrow

Snow Owl

 

The Snow Owls are back early in our area

a bit easier to spot without the snow

 

Rien saw this one on the ground when we drove by

It flew up when we past by again

Owen is born close to Christmas

Frozen Fog

 

Fog can be so dreary

 

but when it starts to freeze

it is actually quite beautiful

Monday Morning

It was busy in the barn

Marc had a 2 hour fog delay 

We had the vet out for a cow who calved to early

And we had the classifier out

waiting for the papers to print
Nothing spectacular but he is fair

Grand Valley Trail, Snyder's Flat

 

We had not been hiking for a while

yesterday was sunny and crisp at the start

 

We hiked a section of the Grand Valley Trail
Winterbourne - Blooomingdale 15km



Snyder's Flat was the nicest part



Lots of beaver activity



With the leaves gone it is kind of nice to be able to see farther

Snyder's flat is well used and for good reason

it is beautiful

 



for the next part of the trail was hiking on the road

past some humongous houses

unfortunately I get blisters on pavement

 

 

A Beautiful Morning

Feed Alley Poured

 

The cement was warm, steaming a bit

 

a thin layer on the alley

 

doing this for hours even until past midnight

Curtains

 

Sometimes in the depth of winter

 it hard to keep our living room warm

 

So I bought some hardware

and we installed curtains we still had in our closet

Hendrika

 

Her girls pulled it off, Hendrika's 70th birthday party was a surprise

 

She got gifts




and family came over

I took pictures for my Dutch cousins
They don't see their relatives that often


Hendrika and I are not related but we have family members in common
