Day 3 Pieterpad Zelhem to Vorden

 Zelhem to Vorden

A low hanging fog because of the previous day of rain

The fog gave way to a gorgeous day

Walking among farms

Warning sign for cows

This is our longest day. 17km

We were ready for a break and that’s when we could stop for coffee at a golf course

Refreshed we were soon hiking again

We see a windmill

Earlier Nel had asked someone to take our picture

The windmill close up

Really? A sign to watch out for squirrels?

Some bush

Almost at the end

Halfway point Pieterpad
We skipped a long piece so we’re not halfway yet

Love the lines in this picture

Chocolate milk

We were a bit stiff but were feeling accomplished

Villa Ruimzicht

Our hotel in Doetinchem

We were on the 3rd floor and had to go another set of stairs to our bed. The shower was see through but that’s not a problem, it was nice and warm

We had a 4 course dinner

Some products came from their own garden
Apparently the flower was eatable

Duck, surprisingly good

Extra course of cheese

Very yummy dessert

The hotel looks beautiful, unbelievable it was first a house

The hotel garden

Familiar flowers

There was a (slow) elevator so we often took the stairs
These stairs were quite a climb after a day hiking
