Real Love

They took palm branches and went out to meet him, 

shouting, “Hosanna! ” 

“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” 

 “Blessed is the King of Israel!”
John 12:12-14 

⁴¹ As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city,
 he wept over it
 ⁴² and said, “If you, even you, had only known 
on this day what would bring you peace—
but now it is hidden from your eyes.

⁴⁴ It was now about the sixth hour, 

and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour,

 ⁴⁵ for the sun stopped shining.

 And the curtain of the temple was torn in two.

 ⁴⁶ Jesus called out with a loud voice, 

“Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” 

When he had said this, he breathed his last.

 ⁴⁷ The centurion, seeing what had happened, 

praised God and said, “Surely this was a righteous man.”
