Winedot Hiking in Hunting Area

 I'd never walked here before

The snowmobile trail goes through it

There are open areas with Hawks flying

 Narrow paths

 A lot of thorn bush

 The river on one side

You can almost get lost there

If it wasn't for the snowmobile trail

 Nice reflection

a big enough parking lot for 1 car

Anja,
I am trying to figure out where this is...looks like a great hiking area!
Love all your photos!
Joanne
P.S. What does Winedot mean?

Hi Joanne
I looked at Google Earth and they actually call it Wyandot.
It sounded like Winedot in my ears before :)
It's just below Moorefield it's 600 acres and nice to walk when it's not hunting season
I went to the area south of the river on the East

Too funny! I would hear the same thing! I did google it and this link came up:

We will have to check it out some time as we love Sunday afternoon hikes.
Thanks for letting me know!
Joanne

We did a geocache there once.
