A new cast

2 weeks after the first cast it is time for the second one

It is very rare to put a cast on a broken leg

usually the animal is put down

but we are giving it a try

a wire saw was supposed to be inside the cast

but it had come loose

It was quite easy to push another saw under the cast

surprisingly hard to break open the cast

it was sawed through at 2 places

the leg looks a lot thinner,

the reason why it needed to get a new cast

Careful

and 2 sawing wires to open the new cast in 2 weeks

The heifer is quite fast on her feet, we are hopeful
