we went for a tour of a Rosendale Farm
no pictures allowed except for 2 places
group picture
there are 9 milk trucks loading, they have 13 full trucks a day
first stop was the just harvested pile of corn silage
the centre is 46' or 14 meters high
our tour guide and her boss
her husband and son were going up the pile
to put more tires on, it takes a few days
so many tires, and this is the smaller pile
there's 100 acre of cement here where the barns
and feed are
they use a lot of custom work for field work
and manure hauling
next stop where we could take pictures is the parlour
they've started cross breeding with Jersey
to get a smaller cow
the cows they show at Madison are at a different place
they've also recently started milking goats
22.000 of them
