6th line kids

6th line part 1

We had a neighbourhood get together
I'd taken all the weeds out of the sandbox
and Rien put some new sand in
The kids did get a dirty bum from the rarely used slide

It was a good time

Unloading

Baling is warm work

and then you can have all the bales in your hands again

Game

We're playing "Settlers of Catan" these days
on Holidays and at home
It's a great game with 3 people and different every time

Ezra

Annette & Ezra came for a visit

He didn't like the cows that much
probably to big

But tractors are fun "Brrrmmmm"

Moose-arazzi

Moose sighting near highway 60

Kind of hard to take a good picture

We were part of the Moose-arazzi
the Moose paparazzi

He didn't pose

still a wild animal

2 days later on the bike trail late in the evening
we were the only ones to see these 2 female Moose

Blueberry picking with Bears

The Blueberries were ripe and there were lots of them
We saw something black picking Berries too

It was a bear and a cub

It's always smart to put some distance (or other people)
between you and a bear

We picked lots of Blueberries

Actually mostly Rien & Marc

I took pictures

until the bear left

Canoeing

We only went canoeing on Canisbay lake, it's a decent size lake

One day we didn't because we were not allowed
There was a fire on one of the "canoe-in" camp sites

We were hoping to see a water bomber plane
but they only had a plane to scout the area

You see loons better from the water

we went to the day beach, it was nicer to get in but got deep fast

Rien swam back to the main beach

He took this picture from the water
He didn't canoe as much because he hurt his arm
falling from his bike (doing a wheelie)
It will take a few weeks but it's healing

2 rivers,Track & Tower + Booth

We did 3 hikes, all were visiting cliffs

We took lunch along and ate it while enjoying the view

Track & Tower was the most challenging

We read the books about man's impact on Algonquin

Timber and Railroad

Both Track & Tower and Booth have stairs

way over 100

the views are the best
