Kale for the freezer:
pick the bottom leaves
Wash them
Stuff them in a pillow case, into the freezer
after they freeze, hit the pillowcase with your fists
the leaves will fall off the stems in little pieces
take out the stems and put the kale in plastic freezer bags

Stephen wondered why I had a pillowcase in the freezer. :) Handy thing to know to pick the bottom leaves (we had ours picked for us).
